bbstucco,

I'm afraid this LB is missing; I reported it missing on this Group in
March. It's a very pretty hike, though, and seemed like a great
hiding place.

Thanks for getting back to me. I was doubting my letterboxing skills!

Do you know why the park officials pulled it?

Still, it certainly was a great hike.

They felt that the traffic would contribute to hillside erosion.

Yep, that's what they said.

We tried explaining how few people would be looking for it compared with how
many parade through that area on any given day, but no luck.

Ah well. Their loss.

Have you guys planted any other boxes in the area? And do you know
of anywhere to get clues for boxes in that area that might not be
posted on letterboxing.org?

Just curious. I'm new to the hobby and am running out of boxes to
find. I plan on planting my won soon enough, but wanted to know if
there are any other places to find clues.

The Descanso Garden series is ours (4 boxes) and we have one at Eaton Canyon
(although we haven't checked on it recently). There is another box at Eaton
Canyon if memory serves, and Don and Gwen have a high-traffic box in
Pasadena as well. These are all listed on letterboxing.org.

Many people list their clues on their own sites, but usually these are
linked from the main site. You might also try Wes Garrison's site, which I
m sure you've read the messages about in recent days.

Good luck!

I can report the Descanso and Eaton Canyon boxes are doing fine - just
visited them in the last few weeks :)
